Where to Eat on National Lobster Day

Lobster Salad “Cobb” Style at BLT Prime

This Friday, June 15, is National Lobster Day! Celebrate at Miami’s top restaurants, with some of the best lobster dishes. Here are five of our favorites:
BLT Prime
Sitting right on the legendary Blue Monster golf course, BLT Prime {4400 NW 87 Avenue, Doral; 305.591.6606} is a modern American steakhouse that combines good eats with near-perfect views. The work of Chef de Cuisine Steve Mendez, the menu offers everything from fine cuts of USDA Prime Certified Angus beef and fresh seafood, to salads, comfort food sides, decadent desserts, and even mouthwatering appetizers like double-cut Grilled Bacon. Go on National Lobster Day and get the Lobster Salad “Cobb” Style—a mix of bibb lettuce, radicchio, watercress, frisee, avocado, cheddar, and crispy pancetta, all covered in a buttermilk ranch dressing.

Lobster Bar Sea Grille Miami Beach
Whether you like them steamed, cracked, or dipped in butter, get your lobster fix at Lobster Bar Sea Grille Miami Beach {404 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.377.2675} with a two-course lobster dinner special only available during summer 2018. Affectionately called “Lobster Bar Date Night,” this deal for two lets any pair (yes, even friends!) choose one of three lobster dishes designed for sharing. The options include: Lobster Bar Sea Grille’s signature Jumbo Nova Scotia Lobster Tails with drawn butter, lemon and Honey Lobster Sauce; the 4-lb. Jumbo Lobster for Two; or The Ultimate Surf & Turf for Two with the restaurant’s 2-lb. Chili Lobster and a prime, 12-oz. NY Strip Wagyu. All specialties are served with two of three salads, either the new Caesar Salad, the Field Ripe Tomato and Barrel Aged Dodonis Feta Salad, or lastly, the restaurant’s famous “Chops” Chopped Salad. On top of that, each duo gets to choose one family-style side, like The Pure Creamless Corn Mash, Hashed Potato Tots with Truffle Blue Cheese Aioli, Lightly Creamed Baby Leaf Spinach with grated feta, or Crispy Hand Cut Fries. The deal will kick-off on National Lobster Day, and continue daily, from 5:30 p.m. to close, through August 31, 2018.

The Strand Bar & Grill
Carillon Miami Wellness Resort’s signature restaurant, The Strand Bar & Grill {6801 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.514.7474}, is known for its local, seasonally-inspired cuisine. On National Lobster Day, grab a seat on the ocean’s edge and order the California Lobster Roll. One of the restaurant’s signature dishes, this sandwich is topped with avocado, lemon aioli, celery, shredded lettuce, and micro cilantro, and served with a side of fries.
River Seafood Oyster Bar
Just steps from the Miami River, this Brickell seafood spot is known for its sleek, but comfortable digs, primo business crowd, and for sourcing the freshest seafood from wherever it’s made best, all over the world. This Friday, stop by The River Seafood & Oyster Bar {650 S Miami Ave, Brickell; 305.530.1915} for dinner and order one of its specialty dishes: Lobster Cocktail with a passion fruit vinaigrette.
Nobu
If you haven’t heard of Nobu {4525 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.695.3232} by now… where have you been? With locations all over the world, you can find its Miami outpost in the Nobu Eden Roc Hotel, where Chef Nobuyuki “Nobu” Matsuhisa serves his top-of-the-line sushi and seafood synonymous with his famous namesake restaurants. Head here on National Lobster Day for two dishes you’ll keep craving for days: Lobster Quinoa Ceviche with bibb lettuce, and Whole Maine Lobster with scallop, jamón iberico, and spicy cilantro.
Happy dining!
