May at Matador Bar

New Cocktails at Matador Bar

Head to the heart of the Magic City, to Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Matador Room {2901 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach; 786.257.4600} in the EDITION Miami Beach, and you’ll find one of the area’s most popular hotel bars of the same name. Paying homage to the art of mixology, Matador Bar has become a hub of craft cocktails, sexy vibes, fabulous people-watching and unbeatable Atlantic Ocean views—and this month, it’s giving us plenty of reasons to stop by.
Discover your new favorite L.A. bartender.
Back again on Wednesday, May 19, Matador Bar will once again host its Monthly Takeover Series. Starting at 9 p.m., guests are welcome to come drink to their heart’s content as mixology gurus Devon Tarby and Jamal Rarif—from The Normandie Club and The Walker Inn in Los Angeles—bring their talents to Miami Beach. For one night only, Tarby and Rarif will whip up a couple of their award-winning cocktails for just $12 each, while DJ Brett Sylvia spins some tunes and the Matador Bar staff stays on hand to serve bar bites and drinks from the spot’s new summer bar menu.
Try some new food and drinks.
If your palate ready for something new and seasonal, head to Matador Bar to sip and savor on items from the new bar menu. Just in time for summer, the bar team has actually come up with a few variations of a refreshing classic, gin and tonic, like the GG&T, Yucatán G&T, and the Lilicoi G&T. On top of that, this bar has spiced up the cocktail list with haute twists on what are soon to become old favorites: the Oaxacan Sour, Copper Cup #4, Lighten Up, Bobby Burns, Blood & Sand, and the Jungle Bird. No matter what you get, pair it with munchies from the bar menu (maybe the Achiote Pork Tacos, perhaps?) and before you know it, you’ll be planning when you can come back next.
Happy dining!
