Ready, Set, Mash-Up

We’ve already told you the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB)’s Miami Spice Restaurant Program is coming back this August—but what you might not know is that you can get a taste of it as early as this month. On Thursday, June 28, Chef Michael Beltran of Ariete, Chef Diego Oka of La Mar by Gaston Acurio {500 Brickell Key Drive, Brickell; 305.913.8358}, and Chef Patrick Ochs of The Strand Bar & Grill {6801 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.514.7474} will team up for an unforgettable Miami Spice preview.
The one-night-only dining experience will take place by the ocean at The Strand Bar & Grill. Priced at just $75 per person, every diner will get a three-course meal (just like they will during Miami Spice!), but this time, the food on their plates will be a culinary fusion of all three Miami chefs’ distinct, beloved styles. Whatever you eat will be more than good-for-you-good, too. All three chefs have been approved by the Slow Food Miami Program, which recognizes local businesses that maintain good, clean, and fair standards, and those that pride themselves on having quality, authentic, and sustainably-minded food practices.
Want to wash it all down with a drink? Your Miami Spice sponsors have you covered. Complimentary pours of Chandon California, Fiji Water, Terrazas de los Andes, and Stella Artois are included in the price of dinner, and a menu of other beverages will be available for purchase.
This dinner will begin promptly at 7 p.m. Seating is limited. Reservations are required and can be made here. For more information about the Miami Spice Restaurant Program, visit www.iLoveMiamiSpice.com.

Happy dining!
