Walking in Wynwood


Coming to us from Harbour Island, Bahamas, AFROHEAD Rum is as Caribbean as it gets. It’s made with molasses sourced from the DR, is fermented and distilled in Trinidad, and after this 80-proof dark rum is aged, it’s blended and bottled in Barbados. Lucky for us, we can get a taste of this distinct rum right here in the Magic City! Try it in the Walking in Wynwood cocktail from db Bistro Moderne {255 Biscayne Boulevard Way, Downtown Miami; 305.421.8800}—we’ve got the recipe, below.
In a shaker, combine 1 ounce AFROHEAD Rum, 1/2 ounces Hennessy Black Cognac, 1/2 ounces passion fruit purée, 1/2 ounces crème de cacao, 1/2 ounces framboise, 1/2 ounces Dry Curaçao, 1/2 ounces lemon, 3/4 ounces orgeat, and a dash of coffee bitters. Shake well, pour in a water glass over crushed ice, and garnish with a mint bouquet and a pansy. Enjoy!
