La FERIA by Mercado de San Miguel

Here is all of the food news you can get excited about in Miami this week:

La FERIA by Mercado de San Miguel Reopens Thursday, October 20
This week, Miami is thrilled to welcome back La FERIA by Mercado de San Miguel, the official ambassador of the legendary Mercado de San Miguel food market in Madrid, Spain. From now through January 2017, La FERIA will be open for its second season in Downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park. You can find it in a 9,000-square-foot indoor-outdoor landscaped tent that brings the tastes, smells and sounds of Madrid to life.

Nikki Beach Gives Back
This October, head to Nikki Beach’s Pearl Champagne Lounge every Sunday night and order a Belvedere Peach Pumpkin Spice Martini ($10), a mix of Belvedere Peach nectar and pumpkin schnapps, with a graham cracker crust rim. For each one ordered, 50% of the proceeds will go to Style Saves, which raises funds through fashion-focused events to give underprivileged students the back-to-school items they need.

O’Toro Tartare at NaiYaRa

NaiYaRa: The Inside Scoop
Every chef has a couple of “secret” menu items in his/her back pocket, and fortunately for us, Sunset Harbour’s top Asian spot, NaiYaRa {1854 Bay Road, Miami Beach; 786.275.6005}, has let the cat out of the bag. Known by regulars only, Chef Bee’s O’Toro Tartare combines finely-minced Blue Fin O’Toro meat, fresh grated wasabi, truffle paste, rayu (a hot sesame seed oil) and honey-kimchee sauce. Before it’s served, the tartare is then pressed into a wooden box and brushed with a house soy, kizami (marinated fresh wasabi), ikura, caviar, edible gold flakes, fresh shaved black truffle, and to add a little “crunch,” rice crackers.

Happy dining!
