Al Roker at the Heineken Light Burger Bash presented by Schweid & Sons®

The 18th annual Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF) is just one week away!
And as the official rideshare partner of SOBEWFF, Lyft wants to make going to and from this year’s festivities as easy—and fun—as possible. To that end, the rideshare app is giving away Lyft credits AND a chance to win VIP tickets to one of the most sought-after SOBEWFF events in town: the Heineken Light Burger Bash presented by Schweid & Sons®. The best part? This year, the popular event is hosted by none other than husband duo David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris.
Here’s how it works:
From Friday, February 15, to Tuesday, February 19, potential winners just need to enter “WINSOBEWFF” into their Lyft app. Once they do, they’ll not only get an immediate $3.05 discount (for Miami’s “305” area code!) on their next Lyft ride, but they’ll automatically enter for a chance to win two passes to the Heineken Light Burger Bash presented by Schweid & Sons® (a $700 value), $200 in Lyft credit, and an exclusive Meat and Greet Experience with national radio host and iHeartLatino Chairman and CEO, Enrique Santos. As if that weren’t enough, since these tickets are VIP, winners will not only get free entry and free rides to-and-from the event; they’ll get in before anyone else, too.
Ready to enter? We thought so! See the official rules here.

Everyone’s favorite Peruvian restaurant is giving us another reason to go! Helmed by Executive Chef Diego Oka, La Mar by Gastòn Acurio {500 Brickell Key Drive, Brickell; 305.913.8358} will welcome two award-winning, Peruvian chefs, Francesca Ferreyros and Arlette Eulert, for a collaborative dinner menu like guests have never had before.
Happening for one night only, on Thursday, February 21, this a la carte menu will feature two dishes created by each of the three chefs. Every dish will be inspired by both the flavors of Peru and the feeling of living in the tropics.
So who are these two talented visitors? As the Executive Chef of Peru’s IK Restaurants, Francesca Ferreyros seamlessly merges Asian cuisine with South American flavors. Her past accolades include working at Cala under famed chef and mentor, Ivan Kisic, and at Celler de Can Roca, in Europe. Arlette Eulert, on the other hand, began her career in Peru by studying at Le Cordon Bleu. She has staged and worked with prestigious culinary teams, including those at NOBU London, D.O.M. São Paulo, Gaig, Ibai, and Jean Luc Figueras, in Barcelona. In Peru, she has worked with the likes of La Mar by Gastòn Acurio and El Mercado. In 2016, she received recognition for her contributions to Peruvian Cuisine by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism. In 2018, Eulert was named Best Female Chef in Peru by SUMMUM.
Together, Ferreyros, Eulert, and La Mar’s own beloved Diego Oka have created a menu guests are sure to crave. Here’s what’s on it:
From Francesca Ferreyros:
Mussels Thai Escabeche
Red Snapper in Red Curry and Coconut Rice

StripSteak by Michael Mina

On Saturday, March 23, Miami Beach’s most iconic hotel—Fontainebleau Miami Beach  {4441 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach; 800.548.8886}—invites guests to indulge in a night of legends. In honor of the 20th anniversary of the premiere of The Sopranos, which the Fontainebleau served as the backdrop for in season four, the glamorous Collins Avenue hotel will host a special performance of “Sinatra Meets The Sopranos” in the same ballroom where Sinatra, a frequent visitor of the Fontainebleau, once performed.
The show will start with a performance of classics by a Sinatra tribute artist, Michael Martocci, and his 22-piece orchestra. After that, The Sopranos actors Steve Schirripa, who played Bobby Baccalieri; Michael Imperioli, who played Christopher Moltisanti; and Vincent Pastore, who played Sal ‘Big Pussy’ Bonpensiero, will come together to tell backstage stories about their experience on the show. Since it is an intimate event, audience members are invited to ask questions and get to know the actors.
And to make it a full night out on the town, guests can purchase a Dinner & Show Package and kick-off the evening with a pre-show dinner at StripSteak by Michael Mina. StripSteak, the acclaimed steakhouse by renowned chef and restaurateur Michael Mina, is known for its high-quality cuts of steak straight from the hotel’s onsite aging room, fresh seafood, signature steakhouse sides, eclectic wines, and impressive cocktail menu. Included in this $135 package is one general admission ticket to the show, two hours of complimentary specialty cocktails, and discounted valet parking.
The Dinner & Show Package can be purchased at bleaulive.com. For more information, call 305.674.4641.
