Still haven’t made those Easter plans? Check out some of the festive feasts at our favorite Miami restaurants below. All promise to make it your tastiest Easter yet.
NaiYaRa
Just like this Sunset Harbour spot has become a staple in the Magic City, we’re pretty sure it’s new out-of-the-box, Thai-inspired brunch will, too. This Sunday, April 1, NaiYaRa {1854 Bay Road, Miami Beach; 786.275.6005} invites guests to try the first installment of its first-ever weekly Sunday brunch series by none other than Chef Piyarat Potha Arreeratn, or “Chef Bee,” himself. To start, order a few appetizers! The Fried Duck & Biscuits with sweet chili sauce, Crispy Pork Belly Buns with a sweet soy glaze, or “Son-in-Law Eggs” (a Thai twist on the classic Scotch egg, with crispy hard-boiled eggs, ground chicken, crispy shallots, and tamarind sauce) are sure to be standouts. When it’s time for the main meal, enjoy eclectic dishes like Eggs Benedict with Chinese 5-spice biscuits and a spicy plantain hash, Black Sesame Pancakes with a banana brûlée, or Matcha Waffles with sweet red bean and bird chili maple syrup. The restaurant’s sushi menu will also be available, as will a sweet bottomless drinks package with Bloody Marys, mimosas, bellinis, and white sangria. Like we said: It’ll be a staple in no time. Brunch will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dishes are priced a la carte, and the bottomless package is priced at $30 per person.

For the secondi course, you can choose from an oven-roasted lamb leg with roasted potatoes or a 32-ounce Tomahawk steak for two with steak fries. A sweet Neapolitan cheesecake should end the meal on a sweet note, all of which will wash down nicely with any of the restaurant’s wines or handcrafted cocktails. Brunch will start at Noon. Dishes and drinks are priced a la carte.

Easter is all about sweets, so don’t leave without trying dessert! The Grand Marnier Crème Brûlée with almond biscotti and fresh berries, or the S’mores Chocolate Cream with salted caramel and a toasted marshmallow meringue should do the trick. R House

Brunch is the best meal of the week, and here in Miami, we have some worth waiting seven days for. Read below for six of our absolute favorites.
Artisan Kitchen & Bar
This Key Biscayne haunt keeps dining lively with local art, eclectic main plates, Venezuelan tapas, and live music. If you’re there on a Sunday, have all that and more during an a la carte brunch, where you can indulge in hearty dishes like Brunch Tacos with roasted pork and scrambled eggs, Brunch Bruschetta Benedict with poached eggs and avocado on Zack’s bread, and even Chicken & Waffles with honey mustard and maple syrup. Craving something a little lighter? Opt for a Smoked Salmon Salad with mango and citrus dressing, or the Kinki sandwich with prosciutto, brie cheese, arugula, and olive oil. Mimosas and sangria at Artisan Kitchen & Bar {658 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne; 305.365.6003} are only $8 a glass, so do yourself a favor and wash it all down with a few of those, too. Brunch is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday.
La Mar by Gastón Acurio
Perched at the edge of The Mandarin Oriental, Miami, right in the heart of view-heavy Brickell Key, La Mar by Gaston Acurio {500 Brickell Key Drive, Brickell; 305.913.8358} serves up inventive Peruvian plates with a touch of just about… well, everything. The same goes for its Sunday brunch! Priced at $95, this all-you-can-eat feast has hot and cold stations with ceviches, robata skewers, barbecue pork buns, oysters, crudos, and more. On top of that, you get to pick your own entrée (we suggest the Lomo Saltado and Fried Egg!), chaufa for the table to share, and a key part of any brunch: bottomless cocktails. Don’t skimp out on dessert, either—the spinning “dessert house” with alfajores, seasonal macarons, tarts, lemon pies, homemade candies, and La Mar’s signature chocolate mousse with quinoa is somewhat of a legend. Brunch runs from Noon to 3:30 p.m. every Sunday.
Lobster Bar Sea Grille
Lobster Bar Sea Grille {404 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.377.2675} has one of the best brunch deals on Miami Beach. For just $49 per person, start with one of seven appetizers, like House Smoked Salmon Tarte, Fresh Apple Kale Salad, Lobster Bar Lobster Bisque with cognac, or Ahi Tuna Tartare with red quinoa and avocado. Then, choose an entrée—the Whole Butter Braised Lobster “Benedict,” Hass “Avocado Toast” with Osetra caviar, and Chicken Cajun Nouvelle Orleans are all restaurant favorites. Of course, you can’t leave without dessert! So end the meal with Profiteroles or Tropical Cremeux, and of course, bottomless Bloody Marys, mimosas, bellinis, and Prosecco. Brunch runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Sunday. An a la carte brunch menu is also available.
Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante
Every Saturday and Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., don’t miss the Champagne Brunch at Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante {1801 Purdy Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.531.2228}. While there, order Traditional Eggs Benedict, Zucchini Tart stuffed with ham and pecorino, or even Spaghetti Carbonara with eggs, wild boar bacon, and pecorino. Pair is all with $50 bottles of Veuve Clicquot Brut, $85 bottles of Veuve Clicquot Rosé, or $6 mimosas and Bloody Marys, and you’ll be living “la dolce vita” in no time.
The Biltmore Hotel
It doesn’t get more classic than brunch at The Biltmore Hotel {1200 Anastasia Ave, Coral Gables; 855.311.6903}. As lavish as the hotel courtyard where it’s held is beautiful, this famous Champagne Brunch includes an extravagant buffet with everything from caviar, smoked salmon, shellfish, carved meats, fresh omelets, and pastas, to sushi, bottomless Champagne and bellinis, and a whole wall (yes, you read that right!) of dessert. Brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday, with the last seating being at 2 p.m. It is priced at $90 per adult and $40 per child, not including tax and gratuity.
R House
This brunch “wows” your taste buds and your eyes! In addition to a generous spread of small plates to share, like Black Truffle and Porcini Mushroom Mac & Cheese, and your choice of a hearty entrée, like: French Toast, Steak and Truffled Egg, Chipotle-Rubbed Pork Ribs, or Fried Chicken and Biscuits with Gravy. And while the food is enough to keep you coming back, the drag show will keep you dancing. Every Sunday, there are two drag performances hosted by Athena Dion, with performances by some of Miami’s most popular drag divas. From mouthwatering-good food to a laughing-good time, you won’t be able to get enough of brunch at R House {2727 NW 2 Avenue, Wynwood; 305.576.0201}. There are two brunch shows, one at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Torta Meringata Classica from Cipriani

serves many
Ingredients
Sponge Cake:
4 eggs
2/3 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c flour
Meringue:
4 egg whites at room temperature
Juice of 1/2 a lemon
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 c sugar
Assembly:
1-1/4 c heavy cream
Sugar, for garnish
Method
For the sponge cake: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour a 9-inch cake pan. Separate the eggs, beating the yolk with sugar until the mixture is very thin and pale yellow. Beat in the vanilla. Beat the whites until they are stiff, but not dry. Using a rubber spatula, fold one third of the whites gently, but thoroughly, into the yolk mixture. Fold in the remaining whites. Sift the flour onto the egg mixture, one third at a time, and gently fold it in. Do not beat the batter; cut straight to the bottom of the bowl with a spatula and lift the batter up and over the flour. When the flour is incorporated, scrape the batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 26 minutes, until the cake is golden. (A toothpick inserted in the center should come out dry.) Let the cake cool briefly on a rack. Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool completely. Using a serrated knife with a long blade, slice the cake horizontally into four layers. Immediately wrap the layers separately, in plastic wrap, until you are ready to use them.
For the meringue: Don’t make the meringue topping until you are ready to assemble the cake. Be sure the egg whites are at room temperature. Put them in a medium-sized bowl and beat until frothy. Beat in the lemon juice and vanilla, and then gradually add in the sugar. Beat the meringue until it is very thick and glossy. Whip the cream until it is very stiff. Combine the meringue gently, but thoroughly, with the pastry cream. Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
To assemble: Put the bottom layer of the cake on a baking sheet and spread one third of the filling over it, leaving a half-inch margin of cake around the edges. Top with another layer of cake and another third of the filling. Repeat, then add the top layer of cake. Spread the meringue thickly over the cake with a knife or spatula. Gently press the spatula down on the meringue and lift it straight up to form decorative peaks.
To serve: Sprinkle the meringue with a little sugar and put the cake in the oven to brown the meringue ever so slightly. (This will only take two or three minutes.) Watch it carefully and remove the cake from the oven as soon as it looks ready. Carefully slide the cake onto a serving dish and chill until serving time. Enjoy!
Cipriani is located at 465 Brickell Avenue.

Roasted Monkfish from Artisan Beach House

serves two
Ingredients
1.5-2 lbs monkfish
1 bunch Swiss chard
Herb blend (equal parts chives, parsley, and tarragon; chopped)
1/2 a lemon
4 Tbsp butter, melted
Method
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a pan, sear monkfish over medium heat for two minutes. Place it in the oven. In a small bowl, mix chopped chives, parsley, and tarragon and set the mixture aside. After four minutes, pull the monkfish out of oven and season both sides with the melted butter and herb mixture. Place the monkfish back in oven. Cook for four minutes or until the fish reaches a temperature of 165 degrees. On the grill, wilt the Swiss chard and char half a lemon.
To serve: Place the monkfish on a small pile of wilted Swiss chard and garnish with charred lemon. Enjoy!
Artisan Beach House is located at 10295 Collins Avenue.
