Everyone’s favorite Peruvian restaurant is giving us another reason to go! Helmed by Executive Chef Diego Oka, La Mar by Gastòn Acurio {500 Brickell Key Drive, Brickell; 305.913.8358} will welcome two award-winning, Peruvian chefs, Francesca Ferreyros and Arlette Eulert, for a collaborative dinner menu like guests have never had before.
Happening for one night only, on Thursday, February 21, this a la carte menu will feature two dishes created by each of the three chefs. Every dish will be inspired by both the flavors of Peru and the feeling of living in the tropics.
So who are these two talented visitors? As the Executive Chef of Peru’s IK Restaurants, Francesca Ferreyros seamlessly merges Asian cuisine with South American flavors. Her past accolades include working at Cala under famed chef and mentor, Ivan Kisic, and at Celler de Can Roca, in Europe. Arlette Eulert, on the other hand, began her career in Peru by studying at Le Cordon Bleu. She has staged and worked with prestigious culinary teams, including those at NOBU London, D.O.M. São Paulo, Gaig, Ibai, and Jean Luc Figueras, in Barcelona. In Peru, she has worked with the likes of La Mar by Gastòn Acurio and El Mercado. In 2016, she received recognition for her contributions to Peruvian Cuisine by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism. In 2018, Eulert was named Best Female Chef in Peru by SUMMUM.
Together, Ferreyros, Eulert, and La Mar’s own beloved Diego Oka have created a menu guests are sure to crave. Here’s what’s on it:
From Francesca Ferreyros:
Mussels Thai Escabeche
Red Snapper in Red Curry and Coconut Rice
From Arlette Eulert:
Lobster and Scallops “Estiradito”
Octopus with Black Chili in its own Ink
From Diego Oka:
Compressed Watermelon, Tuna, Yuzu, Shiso Ice, and Tomato Water, ‘Leche de Tigre’
Quinoa Tamale, Crispy Soft-Shell Crab, Aji Amarillo Sauce, and Radish Salad
This dinner will start at 6 p.m. The traditional menu at La Mar by Gastòn Acurio will also be available. Reservations can be made by calling 305.913.3858.
Happy dining!
