Artisan Kitchen & Bar
Where: Key Biscayne
Grab a seat at one of the long wooden tables, and within minutes, this eclectic spot will have you feeling right at home. Known for its local art, Venezuelan tapas, Sunday brunch and live music, Artisan Kitchen & Bar {658 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne; 305.365.6003} also serves a daily breakfast starting as early as 8 a.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. on Sundays. Choose from bites like Tequenos, Crispy Arepas, and Mini Empanadas, or munch on quiches like Bacon, Corn, and Goat Cheese, Quiche Lorraine, or Ham and Gouda Cheese. For a main, go light with Artisan Yogurt with artisan granola, or fully indulge with a menu of 18 arepas like the Spanish Arepa with Manchego cheese and serrano ham. Whatever you eat, at Artisan Kitchen & Bar, you’ll feel like you’re eating at home with friends.

This upscale New American haunt overlooks the water at The Ritz-Carlton Bal Harbour {10295 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour; 305.455.5400} and serves seafood-centric dishes, fine steaks, and craft cocktails in a refined “beachy” atmosphere. If you’re there from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. any day of the week, try some of its breakfast favorites: like the Nutella French Toast with caramelized banana, the Breakfast Panini with eggs, ham, Swiss cheese, and roasted potatoes on Cuban Bread, or even a Green Power smoothie with cucumber, green apple, kale, romaine, spinach, parsley, celery, and lemon. If you’re feeling fancy, pair it with a Michelada or a Mimosayou are in Bal Harbour, after all.
Fontana at The Biltmore

This chi-chi Italian restaurant is one of the finest in Miami! Sitting inside the illustrious The Biltmore Hotel {1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables; 855.969.3219}, it serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a dazzling ambiance with a rustic stone-and-tile interior, open-air kitchen, and of course, its idyllic courtyard fountain. Available from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday through Saturday, and 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Sundays, get the Biltmore Breakfast Buffet if you’re starvingit’s overflowing with stations with scrambled eggs, bacon and pork sausages, pastries, cured meats, homemade granola, honey yogurt, and more. For a smaller treat, get the Crepe Filled with Ham, Gruyere Cheese, and Mushrooms. The Eggs Bruschetta with farm fresh scrambled eggs, Fontina cheese, and tomato, all served on grilled Country Bread, is also a crowd favorite.

Starting at 7 a.m. each morning, go here for a menu of organic juices and smoothies, Avocado Toast with smoked salmon and two poached eggs; the Raw Oatmeal Bowl with coconut, banana, and almond butter; the Locally Smoked Salmon Platter with tomato, red onion, caper berries, and chive cream cheese; or Ricotta Pancakes with lemon curd, maple syrup, and blueberries.
