Brunch is the best meal of the week, and here in Miami, we have some worth waiting seven days for. Read below for six of our absolute favorites.
Artisan Kitchen & Bar
This Key Biscayne haunt keeps dining lively with local art, eclectic main plates, Venezuelan tapas, and live music. If you’re there on a Sunday, have all that and more during an a la carte brunch, where you can indulge in hearty dishes like Brunch Tacos with roasted pork and scrambled eggs, Brunch Bruschetta Benedict with poached eggs and avocado on Zack’s bread, and even Chicken & Waffles with honey mustard and maple syrup. Craving something a little lighter? Opt for a Smoked Salmon Salad with mango and citrus dressing, or the Kinki sandwich with prosciutto, brie cheese, arugula, and olive oil. Mimosas and sangria at Artisan Kitchen & Bar {658 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne; 305.365.6003} are only $8 a glass, so do yourself a favor and wash it all down with a few of those, too. Brunch is available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday.
La Mar by Gastón Acurio
Perched at the edge of The Mandarin Oriental, Miami, right in the heart of view-heavy Brickell Key, La Mar by Gaston Acurio {500 Brickell Key Drive, Brickell; 305.913.8358} serves up inventive Peruvian plates with a touch of just about… well, everything. The same goes for its Sunday brunch! Priced at $95, this all-you-can-eat feast has hot and cold stations with ceviches, robata skewers, barbecue pork buns, oysters, crudos, and more. On top of that, you get to pick your own entrée (we suggest the Lomo Saltado and Fried Egg!), chaufa for the table to share, and a key part of any brunch: bottomless cocktails. Don’t skimp out on dessert, either—the spinning “dessert house” with alfajores, seasonal macarons, tarts, lemon pies, homemade candies, and La Mar’s signature chocolate mousse with quinoa is somewhat of a legend. Brunch runs from Noon to 3:30 p.m. every Sunday.
Lobster Bar Sea Grille
Lobster Bar Sea Grille {404 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.377.2675} has one of the best brunch deals on Miami Beach. For just $49 per person, start with one of seven appetizers, like House Smoked Salmon Tarte, Fresh Apple Kale Salad, Lobster Bar Lobster Bisque with cognac, or Ahi Tuna Tartare with red quinoa and avocado. Then, choose an entrée—the Whole Butter Braised Lobster “Benedict,” Hass “Avocado Toast” with Osetra caviar, and Chicken Cajun Nouvelle Orleans are all restaurant favorites. Of course, you can’t leave without dessert! So end the meal with Profiteroles or Tropical Cremeux, and of course, bottomless Bloody Marys, mimosas, bellinis, and Prosecco. Brunch runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every Sunday. An a la carte brunch menu is also available.
Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante
Every Saturday and Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., don’t miss the Champagne Brunch at Sardinia Enoteca Ristorante {1801 Purdy Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.531.2228}. While there, order Traditional Eggs Benedict, Zucchini Tart stuffed with ham and pecorino, or even Spaghetti Carbonara with eggs, wild boar bacon, and pecorino. Pair is all with $50 bottles of Veuve Clicquot Brut, $85 bottles of Veuve Clicquot Rosé, or $6 mimosas and Bloody Marys, and you’ll be living “la dolce vita” in no time.
The Biltmore Hotel
It doesn’t get more classic than brunch at The Biltmore Hotel {1200 Anastasia Ave, Coral Gables; 855.311.6903}. As lavish as the hotel courtyard where it’s held is beautiful, this famous Champagne Brunch includes an extravagant buffet with everything from caviar, smoked salmon, shellfish, carved meats, fresh omelets, and pastas, to sushi, bottomless Champagne and bellinis, and a whole wall (yes, you read that right!) of dessert. Brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Sunday, with the last seating being at 2 p.m. It is priced at $90 per adult and $40 per child, not including tax and gratuity.
R House
This brunch “wows” your taste buds and your eyes! In addition to a generous spread of small plates to share, like Black Truffle and Porcini Mushroom Mac & Cheese, and your choice of a hearty entrée, like: French Toast, Steak and Truffled Egg, Chipotle-Rubbed Pork Ribs, or Fried Chicken and Biscuits with Gravy. And while the food is enough to keep you coming back, the drag show will keep you dancing. Every Sunday, there are two drag performances hosted by Athena Dion, with performances by some of Miami’s most popular drag divas. From mouthwatering-good food to a laughing-good time, you won’t be able to get enough of brunch at R House {2727 NW 2 Avenue, Wynwood; 305.576.0201}. There are two brunch shows, one at 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Happy dining!
