Ask Miami’s finest and they’ll tell you: Kiki on the River {450 NW North River Drive, Miami; 786.502.3243} is arguably one of Miami’s chicest dining destinations. Sitting right on the Miami River, this restaurant embraces the spirit of the Greek isles. With its Bougainvillea-clad terrace and classic, made-from-scratch Greek favorites, Kiki on the River invites you to mentally transport to the Mediterranean… if only for just one night.
And as is the case with any hotspot in Miami, this week is all about Art Basel. Here are two events, both open to the public, that Kiki regulars can get excited about:
Friday, December 7: A Celebration of the Works of Spanish Actor and Artist Jordi Mollà
You might have seen Spanish actor Jordi Mollà in the likes of Jamón, Jamón, Historias del Kronen, Blow, and Bad Boys II, but did you know he’s an artist, too? This Friday night, reserve a table for dinner at Kiki on the River and peruse his paintings—they’ll be on special display throughout the restaurant and lounge. Reservations can be made after 6 p.m. A la carte menu prices apply.
Sunday, December 9: Sunday Funday Celebrating Art Plug Power House and Van Dutch
This weekend, do Sunday Funday Art Basel-style! Reserve a table for lunch at Kiki on the River, and enjoy art by RhymelikeDimez, CB Hoyo, and Ketnipz. Wondering where to find it? Look in the water. The artists all designed custom wraps for select Van Dutch Yachts, all anchored right at Kiki’s. Reservations can be made after 1 p.m. A la carte menu prices apply.
Happy dining!
