Just by the sound of it, the word “Nutella” is indulgent. It conjures images of rich, tantalizing desserts. When you eat it, it tastes like a treat you’ve worked really hard to earn. In Italy, children eat it for breakfast; and here in the United States, star chefs have found ways to incorporate into almost anything.
To celebrate this must-have treat, Monday, February 5, has been dubbed “World Nutella Day”—and there’s no better way to pay homage to this sweet food holiday than by indulging in some yourself. From cocktails and house-made desserts, to lunch foods reinvented with a special hazelnut-chocolate twist, here are five Nutella menu items in Miami that you need to have this Monday.

  1. Really good churros.
    What you’re ordering: Churros
    Where you’re ordering it: Artisan Beach House {10295 Collins Avenue, Bal Harbour; 305.455.5460}
    Why we love them: They’re homemade, come with Nutella and coffee ice cream, and cost just $10.
  2. A martini with chocolate in it.
    What you’re ordering: Chocolate Nutellatini
    Where you’re ordering it: Sawa Restaurant & Lounge {360 San Lorenzo Avenue #1500, Coral Gables; 305.447.6555}
    Why we love it: It’s a martini with Ciroc Coconut vodka, Godiva-brand white chocolate, and Nutella. Need we say more?
  3. A mousse you can’t resist.
    What you’re ordering: Homemade Nutella Mousse
    Where you’re ordering it: Villa Azur {309 23 Street, Miami Beach; 305.763.8688}
    Why we love it: It’s homemade with Nutella, and you’re eating it at Villa Azur—meaning it comes with a side of beautiful people-watching, all-night partying, sexy dancers carrying sparkler-topped bottles of champagne, live music, and A-list Miamians.
  4. A dessert so good, it’ll make you… nutty.
    What you’re ordering: Nutcase
    Where you’re ordering it: Wynwood Kitchen & Bar {2550 Northwest Second Avenue, Wynwood; 305.722.8959}
    Why we love it: This “Liquid Dessert,” as the restaurant coins it, is made with a mix of coconut milk, chai latte, Captain Morgan spiced rum, and of course, Nutella.
  5. A calzone oozing with Nutella.
    What you’re ordering: Nutellino
    Where you’re ordering it: Spris Artisan Kitchen {200 South Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 500-A, Downtown Miami; 305.400.6667}
    Why we love it: If you already love a classic calzone, you’ll love this modern twist. It’s baked fresh in a brick oven, filled with Nutella, and topped with whipped cream.

Happy dining!
