Easter comes early this year! Are you still looking to make plans? We’ve put together a roundup of some of the best places to score a reservation for Easter 2016 in Miami.

From Noon-3pm, join Atrio at the Conrad Miami for an Easter brunch featuring a full American breakfast buffet and omelette station; a seafood bar; a selection of seasonal salads (Tomato Salad, Orzo Pasta and Minted Zucchini Salad, and Mini Salmon Salad Niçoise); a meat station; and an expansive dessert station. This year, Easter falls on the same day as National Paella Day, and Bulla is preparing a special paella feast on its beautiful terrace. Enjoy passed Gazpacho Andaluz; a meat and cheese platter; Patatas Bravas; and a trio of Paella de la Huerta, Paella de Pollo y Setas, and Paella Mar y Montana. A mini flan will end the evening on a sweet note. The event will take place at 6:30pm is priced at $48 per person (add $15 for bottomless sangria). For Easter Sunday, Cirpiani will be offering a special all-day three-course menu for just $90 per person. Diners will enjoy a welcome Bellini, choice of appetizer (Burrata “alla Mediterranea” or Homemade Ravioli with fresh peas, butter, and Parmesan); choice of main course (Pan-Roasted Monkfish with lemon and capers served with rice pilaf or Slow-Roasted Lamb Shoulder with rosemary potatoes and braised chicory); and a Hazelnut Parfait for dessert. From noon-3pm, Brickell’s new Peruvian restaurant is offering a special three-course Easter brunch menu for just $45 per person (add $25 per person for bottomless select cocktails, Champagne, and rosé wine). The first course will include four Crocantes for the table to share, including the Ceviche Clasico and the Chicharron de Cerdo; choice of signature entrée; and chef’s selection of desserts for the table. There will be an Easter egg hunt for kids in addition to an adult Easter egg hunt where one lucky will receive dinner for two at COYA plus a two-night stay at the JW Marriott Miami.

An indulgent culinary journey awaits with The Setai’s famous Sunday brunch featuring jazz band Vinyl Blvd and an array of rotisserie, seafood, Indian, and Asian stations. What: Chef de Cuisine Patrick Rebholz is kicking off 2016 by adding several new dishes to his already-acclaimed menu. Perhaps the most exciting addition is the signature Chicken Parm Pizza, which is making a special “pop-up” appearance from Quality Meat’s NYC sister restaurant, Quality Italian. Intended for two people, this 14-inch chicken Parmesan topped with mozzarella, Parmesan, and pecorino is delivered on a pizza rack and sliced tableside. The dish is so popular in New York that the restaurant often runs out midway through dinner service.

4. Paella Cooking Demonstration and Dinner at Bulla

9. Fontainebleau’s Cellar 1954 Wine & Dinner Series

What: The Cellar 1954 Wine and Dinner Series pairs the world’s most prestigious wines and winemakers with the award-winning cuisine of the Fontainebleau’s signature restaurants. Halloween is creeping up on us faster than you can say “trick or treat” five times fast. Here’s a breakdown of this weekend’s top events.

Friday, October 30

biltmore halloweenFrom 8pm-midnight, the Biltmore Hotel {1200 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables; 305.913.3230} hosts its annual Halloween party featuring an open bar, buffet dinner, and entertainment. Two remote bars will be set up in addition to Segafredo’s permanent inside bar, and a fantastic lineup of DJs is scheduled to play. A limited food menu will also be available.

Also on Lincoln Road, Quattro Gastronomia Italiana {1014 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach; 305.531.4833} will offer a special four-course prix-fixe dinner, where guests can delight in a selection of the restaurant’s finest dishes while admiring the costumes, trick-or-treaters, and holiday fanfare along Lincoln Road. Outdoor tables are $110 per person; inside tables $65 per person.

Hyde Beach HalloweenFrom 7pm-midnight Hyde Beach Kitchen + Cocktails {111 South Surf Road, Hallandale Beach; 954.699.0901} is getting into the Halloween spirit by offering guests FREE access to its Haunted Beach Bar, located on the first floor. Enjoy ghoulish sounds by DJ YSL while watching scary movies right on the sand. A popcorn cart, massive candy bar, and specialty drinks will also be available all night long.

Morton’s The Steakhouse {multiple locations} is offering a three-course dinner for just $35 featuring entrée selections such as 6oz Filet Mignon, Honey-Chile Glazed Salmon, and Chicken Bianco. The restaurant will also offer an extended happy hour from 5pm-close.

The Oceanaire Seafood Room {900 South Miami Avenue, Brickell; 305.372.8862} is offering a three-course dinner for two PLUS a bottle of wine for just $60. They are also serving happy hour all night in the bar.

Seaspice {422 Northwest North River Drive, Miami; 305.440.4200} gears up to celebrate Halloween with a two-day event around the theme “Dia de los Muertos.” On Saturday, the hot spot will transform into a goulish haven on the river for its invitation-only Day of the Dead Halloween Ball, with Modern Garden serving as an offering altar filled with flowers to honor those who have passed. Guests will indulge in Champagne, specialty cocktails, and delicious bites throughout the evening.

But the Halloween fun doesn’t stop there! On Sunday, November 1, from noon-6pm the celebration continues at Seaspice with LVMH and Veuve Cliquot for Dia de los Muertos Sunday brunch, featuring live music, photo booths, makeup artists, models, Champagne, giveaways, and more.

South Beach Seafood Festival

The time has come for the third-annual South Beach Seafood Festival, presented by Hess Wines and hosted by Coca-Cola.

While events are happening throughout the week to showcase the great culinary talent of Miami and kick off stone crab season (tonight is a Hess Select Wine-Pairing Evening; tomorrow night is the GOYA Foods’ Cooking & Cocktails Interactive Dinner; Friday is the Chef Showdown); and Saturday is when things kick it up a notch with the all-day main festival on the sand, from 1-9pm at Seventh Street and Ocean Drive.

Chefs from some of Miami’s top restaurants, including Joe’s Stone Crab, A Fish Called Avalon, The Oceanaire Seafood Room, and CIBO, are creating a culinary paradise on the sand with over 50 menu items from which to choose. (Think: stone crabs, lobster waffle cones, steak and lobster skewers, shrimp tacos, oysters, shrimp cocktails, crab cakes, lobster mac and cheese, and more.) There will also be live music, culinary and mixology demos, a kids’ zone, and VIP benefits for the all-access guests, including the all-day Heineken Light College Football Sports Bar, the Land Rover Hospitality Village, and GOYA Culinary Pavilion featuring an all-day party. Oh, not to mention that an open bar is included in the ticket price.

The event benefits the Community Initiatives Foundation in support of the Eat Smart Campaign to fight against childhood hunger, childhood obesity, and assisting the community to find the perfect balance through nutritional awareness and individual development in Miami-Dade County.

Garcia’s on the River really began in 1966 as a fish market before it evolved into the restaurant it is today. Mr. Garcia started his wholesale business by buying a vacant lot that had gas pumps for boating. The property operated as a gas station, but Garcia used it as storage for the wholesale market. In the ’70s it became a restaurant, and so it has been here over 49 years—the pioneer of the Miami River, now a trendy dining destination. Nicknamed “Rebel Sommelier,” Heath Porter takes the snob appeal out of vinology and puts his own whimsical and knowledgeable spin on what is a true passion for wine. With a self-deprecating sense of humor, Porter points out that he grew up in a teetotaling Southern Baptist family in Cullman, Alabama, deep in the heart of Dixie. “Rednecks don’t usually grow up to become sommeliers,” he says, “especially ones from dry countries.” That said, he has garnered several awards, medals, and pins throughout his career, and has now brought his expertise to Uvaggio Wine Bar in Coral Gables.
