Tonight only, head to the elegant-and-enticing Tamarina Restaurant {600 Brickell Avenue, Brickell; 305.579.1888} for the next installment of its popular Wine Dinner Series: Wines of Sicily and Coastal Italian Cuisine. Featuring select wines from Firriato Winery and a four-course tasting dinner for just $65 per person, this evening promises great food, delicious vintages, and of course, the five-star service and luxury that fans of Tamarina have come to expect from this Brickell Avenue gem.

Easter comes early this year! Are you still looking to make plans? We’ve put together a roundup of some of the best places to score a reservation for Easter 2016 in Miami.

From Noon-3pm, join Atrio at the Conrad Miami for an Easter brunch featuring a full American breakfast buffet and omelette station; a seafood bar; a selection of seasonal salads (Tomato Salad, Orzo Pasta and Minted Zucchini Salad, and Mini Salmon Salad Niçoise); a meat station; and an expansive dessert station. From 10am-4pm, treat yourself and your family to one of Miami’s most celebrated and lavish Champagne brunches featuring an extravagant buffet with delicacies such as caviar, smoked salmon, shellfish, carved meats, fresh omelettes, pastas, sushi, desserts, and more. Cost is $95 per person.

This year, Easter falls on the same day as National Paella Day, and Bulla is preparing a special paella feast on its beautiful terrace. Enjoy passed Gazpacho Andaluz; a meat and cheese platter; Patatas Bravas; and a trio of Paella de la Huerta, Paella de Pollo y Setas, and Paella Mar y Montana. A mini flan will end the evening on a sweet note. The event will take place at 6:30pm is priced at $48 per person (add $15 for bottomless sangria). For Easter Sunday, Cirpiani will be offering a special all-day three-course menu for just $90 per person. Diners will enjoy a welcome Bellini, choice of appetizer (Burrata “alla Mediterranea” or Homemade Ravioli with fresh peas, butter, and Parmesan); choice of main course (Pan-Roasted Monkfish with lemon and capers served with rice pilaf or Slow-Roasted Lamb Shoulder with rosemary potatoes and braised chicory); and a Hazelnut Parfait for dessert. From noon-3pm, Brickell’s new Peruvian restaurant is offering a special three-course Easter brunch menu for just $45 per person (add $25 per person for bottomless select cocktails, Champagne, and rosé wine). The first course will include four Crocantes for the table to share, including the Ceviche Clasico and the Chicharron de Cerdo; choice of signature entrée; and chef’s selection of desserts for the table. There will be an Easter egg hunt for kids in addition to an adult Easter egg hunt where one lucky will receive dinner for two at COYA plus a two-night stay at the JW Marriott Miami.

An indulgent culinary journey awaits with The Setai’s famous Sunday brunch featuring jazz band Vinyl Blvd and an array of rotisserie, seafood, Indian, and Asian stations. Two seatings are available: 11:45am and 2pm. A special Easter egg hunt will take place in the courtyard at 11am. Cost is $115 per adult; $58 per child. When we say buffet, we hope you’re not picturing a cruise ship-style smorgasbord of endless gluttony. Tamarina’s buffet is more in the style of a royal banquet, featuring the best of the best breakfast and lunch offerings designed to wow your senses—and taste buds. This is sophisticated brunching, but without the fussiness.

Everything on offer has been prepared that day, with chefs on hand waiting to replenish the second supply looks low.

Start off at the eggs and waffle station, where you can choose your own fresh ingredients to have an omelette prepared the way you like or have your waffle iron-pressed on the spot, served with powdered sugar, maple syrup, and your choice of berries.

Next, make your way to the opposite end of the dining room for Italian station, featuring a salad bar with garden-fresh leafy greens and veggies, an assortment of fresh-from-the-oven breads, and a selection of artisanal charcuterie meats and cheeses.

Be sure to leave room on your plate for more of the main event: dozens of seafood delicacies like freshly shucked oysters, tuna tartare, cured salmon, and more. There’s also a carving station and standard breakfast meats like bacon and sausage. Oh, and let’s not forget the “Pasta a la Minute”: two types of homemade pasta prepared to order upon request. (The day we dined, the pastas were two types of ravioli, both equally satisfying.)

At the center of it all is the decadent dessert table, featuring mounds of pastries, from scones to muffins to croissants to brownie-type concoctions of chocolaty goodness and Italian staples such as tiramisù and panna cotta. But the highlight here was hands-down the bomboloni, traditional Italian doughnuts filled with Nutella and topped with powdered sugar.

Don’t worry if you can’t fit everything on your plate at once. You can revisit the buffet as many times as you’d like. Friendly servers are on-hand to take your drink orders and to make sure that  your water and said drinks are adequately replenished. For just $35 per person, have your choice of bottomless bubbles (whether in the form of Champagne or mimosas or Bellinis, both mixed with homemade Italian sorbet of juice—addictively refreshing).

Bloody Marys are also a specialty, as is the sangría, which is served in a 1-1/2-liter punch bowl. Cold-pressed juices and coffee drinks are also available à la carte.

Brunch can be enjoyed in the dining room or on the covered patio (our recommendation), where large tables and comfy couches make for a nice alfresco lounge space. This is also where the band, the French Horn Collective, a five-man folk/jazz ensemble, serenades guests with catchy acoustic tunes that are sung mostly in French.

The South Beach Hotel Group owns some of Miami’s funkiest boutique hotels, and they come alive each season witht he official kickoff of Art BAsel. Each property is unique, offering eclectic, hand-picked décor from across the globe. Inspired by Moroccan design, Maxine’s at the Catalina Hotel  boasts chairs from Egypt as well as lamps found in Morocco by Owner Alan Lieberman during his travels there. The teak tables at Fung Ku were all sliced, treated, and glazed by Lieberman himself. The newest addition to the collection is The Tavern at Hotel Croydon, which displays murals by Marcello Ibanez, whom Lieberman discovered on Instagram. 8. The Art of Food and Wine Pairing at Uvaggio
You don’t have to look far to find advice about food and wine pairing; there are countless articles and books dispensing the rules and science behind making a good match. Still, some would argue that there’s more art than science involved. The approach at Uvaggio is simple: “If it grows together, it goes together.” In other words, wine and food both have a sense of place, and their origins contribute to their nuanced flavors. Stefano Campanini started his career as an art dealer many years ago in NYC before opening Etra Gallery in Miami, which he still runs. While he was delivering art pieces to VIP collectors, Campanini noticed that many of them also collected wine. The Standard has become a staple in South Beach for lazy Sunday afternoons, but the main draw here is the sublime sunset view that paints the sky each evening. The Betsy Hotel–South Beach is designed to inspire guests to reflect upon the beauty of our world. Estiatorio Milos by Costas Spiliadis is a work of art from start to finish. While some of the fish and seafood on the menu is local, the majority is flown in fresh from the Mediterranean Sea and artfully displayed on ice. Guests are invited to get up from their tables and inspect the presentation as if it really were a work of art. Craft cocktails are nothing new, but Craft Social Club takes the liquid art form to a whole new level. Cocktails are handmade tableside in the form of personal libations, shooters, and punch bowls for the whole table to share. Coat the rim of a martini glass lightly with pumpkin purée and then pumpkin pie spice. Wynwood Kitchen & Bar is a staple in Miami’s Art District, reflecting its diverse nature and multimedia dynamic. Developed along with the Wynwood Walls by Goldman Properties in 2009, Wynwood Kitchen & Bar is the original destination in this art haven. At first glance, WKB might be mistaken for a gallery, as there are sculptures, murals, and other installations on premise. Still, it’s the vibrant art from famed street artists like Shepard Fairey, Os Gemeos, Kenny Scharf, and Faile & Bast that really put Wynwood Kitchen in a class of its own.

24. Curated Art at Adena Grill & Wine Bar
Adena Grill & Wine Bar has a warm and inviting atmosphere with a blend of Old-World ambience alongside a casual and modern vibe—and it’s one of our favorite new steakhouses in town. You’ll dine in style beneath Swarovski crystal chandeliers dangling from the vaulted ceiling, while large vases of fresh, delicate orchids dot the main dining tables. But it’s the art on the walls that really draws the eye. Highly acclaimed Russian artist Anna Razumovskaya was commissioned to hand-paint the scenic murals. The whirlwind weekend that is the South Beach Wine & Food Festival officially kicked off on Thursday, with dozens of events scattered throughout the city. Here’s a look inside the most exciting weekend (for food lovers!) in Miami, and our three favorite events during the festival weekend.

1. The Italian Al Fresco Feast

On Thursday evening, we headed for the tents, which spanned several blocks on the sands of South Beach. Despite the brisk temperatures, there was no way we were missing the festival’s first-ever Italian Al Fresco Feast on the Beach hosted by the Cooking Channel’s Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos. The evening was sponsored by storied pasta brand Ronzoni, which was celebrating its 100th anniversary.

This night was all things Italian, featuring over 30 chefs from around the nation offering hungry event goers variations on their signature pasta dishes—spaghetti, linguini, rigatoni, ravioli, tortellini, and more in red sauce, pink sauce, Alfredo, pesto—every delectable combination you could imagine, all paired with Folonari Amore Italia wines. Several notable south Florida restaurants participated, including Chef Israel Mora of the new Brickell eatery Tamarina with a Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli topped with sage butter sauce, and Fabio Viviani of Siena Tavern with delicious wagyu meatballs.

2. Best of the Best at the Fontainebleau

On Friday evening, while many Sobe Festers returned to the tents for the ninth annual Amstel Light Burger Bash, we headed to a more intimate affair at the Fontainebleau hotel. Aptly named the Best of the Best, the Wine Spectator-sponsored evening was arguably one of the more exclusive events of the weekend, attended only by the who’s who of Miami, New York, and beyond.

The event, which took place inside the hotel’s Sparkle Ballroom, was an overwhelming maze of over 60 featured restaurants, each serving up samplings of their best gourmet dishes. Restaurants were interspersed with equally impressive wineries offering sizable tastings and interesting tidbits about their varietals. True to its name, this event certainly was the best of the best, especially since all of the wines offered were rated 90 points or higher on Wine Spectator’s prestigious scale.

Top chefs came from all over the United States, though many of them were from right here in Miami, including the Fontainebleau’s very own Chefs Scott Conant and Michael Mina. Other notable South Florida restaurants in attendance included db Bistro Moderne, Katsuya, Seaspice, BLT Steak, and the Biltmore’s Palme d’Or, among many others.

3. Eats & Beats Miami

On Saturday night, we switched gears, opting for a more low-key experience: the second-annual Eats & Beats Miami, an event–that’s not officially part of SoBe Fest–that took place at the glitzy Moore Building in the Design District. Luckily, we arrived early, because by the time we were through (about two hours in), the line to get in had snaked around the block.

A combination event for both foodies and music lovers, the evening featured four floors of local restaurants offering a smorgasbord of tastings, from Asian-inspired dishes, to juicy slabs of rib-eye, to Indian curry, to empanadas, to sushi. The beverage offerings were diverse as well—wine, beer, Champagne, tequila, rum, vodka, you name it—Eats & Beats had all its bases covered.

The DJ booth didn’t miss a beat, which included sets by Michelle Leshem, Sean Drake, Chris Valencia, and Malone. All in all, it was the perfect ending to a very hectic—but very enjoyable—weekend. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for next year! Until then, our palates won’t quite be the same.

Miami is ringing in a slew of recently opened restaurants with the new year. Here’s a look at the latest and greatest.

Midtown Oyster Bar {3301 Northeast First Avenue, Suite 103-1, Miami; 786.220.2070}
From the creators of Salumeria 104 comes Midtown Oyster Bar, a seafood-centered restaurant located inside the Shops at Midtown. You’ll find a daily selection of oysters plus many other New England favorites that have a hint of Italian, like Scampi Crudi, Lobster Rolls, and other seasonally-inspired items. The restaurant is cozy yet elegant, with nautical accents and colors, comfortable seating, a dimly lit bar, raw offerings at the oyster bar, and an inviting outdoor patio.

Tamarina {600 Brickell Avenue, Miami; 305.579.1888}
Tamarina is a new concept by famed restaurateur Arjun Waney—who co- founded zuma, Coya, La Petite Maison, and The Arts Club in London—and husband-and-wife team Yona and Tunu Puri. Enjoy authentic, seasonal Italian coastal cuisine in the restaurant’s pristine dining room, and don’t miss the chance to order from the oyster bar, the restaurant’s crown jewel. Also of note is Tamarina’s alfresco, candlelit terrace with its own Champagne bar.

Siena Tavern {404 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.534.5577}
What began as a trip to his native Italy has now transpired into a tantalizing culinary venture by Fabio Viviani, a “Top Chef” Season Five fan favorite. Opened in November in Miami’s quiet SoFi neighborhood, Siena Tavern has found the perfect balance between an upscale eatery and an upbeat tavern, with a lush dining room and outdoor terrace, open kitchen, and a fully-stocked bar with a cocktail menu curated by bartenders Elad Zavi and Gabriel Orta of the acclaimed Broken Shaker in South Beach. The menu includes locally-sourced produce and seafood, as well as Siena Tavern’s signature dishes, like Wagyu Beef Meatball and housemade Gnocchi with Truffle Cream and Crispy Pancetta. It’s as if Siena met South Beach, and it doesn’t get much better than that.

American Social {690 Southwest First Court, Miami; 786.801.2466}
Whether you arrive by foot or by sea, American Social is the place to be when you’re looking for a good time with friends. Just ask anyone in Fort Lauderdale, where the original haunt has a cult following. It was the first restaurant in South Florida to implement a table tap system, which puts pouring power in the hands of its customers. With a hefty selection of 52 craft beers and counting, it’s definitely a place for beer connoisseurs. Whether you come to watch a game on one of their 20 high-definition TVs, or simply for the live music and DJs on any given night, you’re guaranteed a good time.

IKRA Restaurant & Lounge {16850 Collins Avenue #106, Sunny Isles Beach; 305.974.0081}
As the largest restaurant in Sunny Isles, IKRA offers six distinct dining areas in which to indulge in extravagant seafood dishes, all prepared under the direction of Patrick Kirchner, who has worked at five-star restaurants across the globe. But besides the food and the live nightly entertainment, IKRA is notable for one thing that no other restaurant in Miami can offer: babysitters on staff, who will watch the little ones in a separate play room. Parents, you’ve found your nirvana.

Lokum Mediterranean Bar and Grill {1629 Alton Road, Miami Beach; 786.768.2423}
Located at the corner of Alton and Lincoln Road; Lokum Mediterranean Bar and Grill serves authentic Mediterranean cuisine at one of South Beach’s most bustling intersections. With options to dine in, take out, or place an order for delivery, Lokum offers affordable and quick cuisine for under $15, whether you’re into healthy appetizers like Baba Ghanoush and freshly-made tzatziki, or you just want a classic Falafel.

Moye {829 Southwest First Avenue, Miami; 305.372.5168}
Moye, Brickell’s latest Italian import, embraces the spirit of its parent restaurant—the much revered Sardinia Enoteca in Sunset Harbour—adding its own touch to classic regional Italian cuisine. With three locations in Milan and Florence, the restaurant is inspired by the cuisine of Puglia, known as the birthplace of Burrata, and for its great wines and olive oils. Fresh mozzarella and breads are made in-house daily in Moye’s open kitchen, and the restaurant features a rotating seasonal menu guests can enjoy inside the restaurant’s intimate 70-seat dining room or in its airy patio.

Campania {4029 North Miami Avenue}
In addition to newcomer Moye, the team behind Sardinia Enoteca is bringing more regional Italian cuisine onto mainland Miami. Campania, located in the former Egg & Dart space in the Design District, focuses on the sun-kissed cuisine of Napoli and the Amalfi Coast. Expect made-to-order pizzas created in its custom- made pizza oven, along with a retail marketplace where you can purchase fresh mozzarella and other authentic Italian products.

Cibo {100 South Pointe Drive at Continuum, South Beach; 305.442.4925}
After seeing much success with a location on Miracle Mile in Coral Gables, Cibo Wine Bar will be opening this December in the up-and-coming South of Fifth area in South Beach. The brand is most notable for its extensive wine selection, impeccable service, and rustic Italian cuisine. This South Beach location is a special one, as it offers the only rooftop venue in the entire neighborhood.

Babylon Turkish Restaurant {560 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach; 786.216.7230}
Babylon brings traditional, fine-dining Turkish cuisine to vibrant South Beach. Experience relaxed, comfortable elegance, along with sultry belly dancers and world music entertainment, every night. Whether indoors under an elaborate mosaic chandelier or upon the restaurant’s lush, tree-lined patio, a meal here makes you feel as though you’ve actually stepped into the storied Gardens of Babylon. Order from a menu of classic Turkish mezes, lamb plates, seafood dishes, kabobs, moussaka, and more. Finish with a scratch-made dessert. Come to Babylon, and savor the deliciously revived flavors of an ancient empire.

Cleo {17756 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach; 305.534.2536}
Listed as number five on OpenTable’s list of “50 Hottest Restaurants in the U.S.,” Cleo is poised to impress guests in Miami just as it did in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The Mediterranean-inspired menu is enhanced to reflect South Beach’s bold, tropical flavors. Located within The Redbury South Beach, Cleo’s old-school Tinseltown setting spells dress up to dine. Continue feeling fancy as you sip specialty cocktails made with fresh juices and tropical ingredients. You can’t get much “hotter” than that.

STRIPSTEAK at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach {4441 Collins Avenue, Miami; 877.326.7412}
It has arrived. What, you ask? The award-wining, hot-trotting, Las Vegas-based concept from acclaimed Chef Michael Mina: STRIPSTEAK. This past November, STRIPSTEAK debuted at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach—as if we didn’t already have a reason or five to stroll into the hotel for a meal before this development. Yes, there’s our beloved Hakkasan, La Côte, and MICHAEL MINA 74, but now there’s also what promises to be a fantastic new concept calling our name. Here are a few reasons why we’re particularly excited: à la carte cuts from the onsite aging room and butcher shop, a fabulous raw bar, and seasonally- sourced, ocean-to-table seafood. An open kitchen means you can watch all the action as your appetite peaks. For the über-curious, here’s a preview: Chef de Cuisine Derrick Roberts will be pitting two wagyus against one another on the plate, in the American vs. Australian Wagyu entrée. That’s two cuts served with parsnip purée, Granny Smith apple, and fresh horseradish. We’ll compare and contrast meat from Chef Roberts any time.

Bellmónt Spanish Restaurant {339 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables; 786.502.4684}
Bellmónt Spanish Restaurant brings the laid-back, elegant ambience and flavorful cuisine of Spain to Miracle Mile. Inside you’ll find a large 14,500-pound wood-fired oven imported directly from the country, not to mention a handcrafted wine bar carrying the best vintages from Europe. Chef and Owner Sergio Catalina Bellmónt himself hails from Spain, bringing with him an assortment of tapas, Spanish-inspired pizzas, and made-from-scratch dishes unique to Miracle Mile.

By the time you read this, Berries’ expansion will be complete and ready to book your private parties. They’ve taken over the former Las Culebrinas, Honey for the Bears, and Carlos in the Grove space to double their bar, seating, and parking capacity. Most importantly, they now have real indoor seating, so you can feel free to stay awhile.
